Nintendo has announced today the different release dates for its new video game console, the Wii U, as well as the price in North America and Japan.
The Wii U will come in two different bundles, Basic and Deluxe. The Basic set will come with 8GB of built-in memory, a GamePad, HDMI cable, a sensor bar and an AC adapter. The Wii U that comes in the Basic set will be white.
The Deluxe set comes with 32GB of built-in memory, everything else in the Basic set, plus a GamePad charging cradle, a stand for the GamePad and Console, and a copy of Nintendo Land. The Wii U that comes in the Deluxe set will be black.
North America
The Wii U will launch first in North America, on November 18. The Basic set will be $299.99 in the United States. The Deluxe set will cost $349.99 in the United States.
Europe
The Wii U will land in Europe on November 30. No price has been given for the region at this time, since it will vary in each country.
Japan
The Wii U will launch in Japan on December 8. The Basic set will cost ¥26,250 ($337 US) and the Deluxe set will cost ¥31,500 ($405 US). The standalone GamePad at least in Japan will cost ¥13,440 ($170 US). No price was given for any other region.
